    Delete line support

Currently I did not found any option to delete a line, that I do not want to use. If it is available, it'd be good to place it in line of sight, if not, give an option to delete an unused line.

    Q: Mobile interfaces for doingText?

Are you generally interested in using doingText on your mobiles? (like the read-only interface for iPhone + iPod touch)

    Some statistics about the text

Provide information about the word count, time spend on a text, how many comments, how many collaborators etc..

Well, its more or less usefull, but I think it would be nice :)

    Status: planned

as you say it would be nice but maybe not a core feature so i guess that puts it a bit towards the end of the todo list.

    Add formatting support

Seems to me that Doingtext is great for late stage texts, or maybe that's not the point? So some sort of formatting support would probably be a good idea.

Keep it up! Text authoring is in dire need of a revolution.

we have some simple formatting via textile already. check out the guides. enabling textile will be made easier soon though.

    add some workflow help

While the idea is pretty cool in some environments it just "doesn't fit" in some other, even though the collaborative aspect would fit perfectly. From my experience as a professional magazine contributor I miss:

    Search and Replace

Sometimes I found words or phrases that need to be changed in the entire document and it is time consuming to search and replace it manually. Also it is hard to search the document via the build in brwoser search because I must scroll down several times until the document is fully displayed.

    Lists on one line

Lists should not automatically be split into separate lines. Kind of annoying when re-ordering ideas and such.

    add spell checking

My browser's spell checking doesn't seem to be available within the text lines and there isn't any built-in feature.

add a general comment function for the whole text

Sometimes you want to leave a comment on the whole text. E.g. if you want to discuss the meaning / tenor or goal.

Use Textile for structuring the text

Use the h1 / h2 to structure my text hierarchically and jump to a certain line.

Sprechblasenfarben nach "doc last seen" Zeit ändern

About Us - Start - Moto - Idea

It should be explained / described / suggested in short, somewhere at start, what doingText is meant to be for!

I'm still struggeling, and don't have much time to search for the main purpose of it.

It's also supposed to be a part of the marketing / PR - what are you trying to "sell&qu... more

Allow switching between normal full text and per line edits

This might already be possible but it would be nice to decide that a document has to be reorganised as a whole and then switch back to the original single document view that you get when you start the discussion.
